Purchase and license terms
AutoCaption is sold directly by the developer, with payments processed securely by Stripe.

Purchase
The one-time purchase costs US$7.98. The subscription costs US$4.00 per year and renews automatically until canceled. Charges are processed in USD; the customer’s bank or card issuer may convert the amount and apply fees.
License
An active purchase or subscription grants a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use AutoCaption on up to three Macs linked to the same account. Devices can be revoked in the portal.
Delivery and updates
The signed and notarized installer is released after payment. With customer confirmation, the app may check for and install updates over HTTPS. Apple silicon and macOS 26 or later are required.
Right of withdrawal — 7 days
For distance purchases, customers may withdraw within 7 calendar days from the agreement or receipt of the product or service, as applicable. AutoCaption provides a full refund during this period without limiting any other mandatory consumer rights.
How to request a refund
Open My account › Refund and confirm the request. If the portal is unavailable, email contact@marcosdesign.org from the account email within the 7-day period. The sent time preserves the request deadline.
Processing time
Once the authenticated request is accepted, the full refund is submitted to Stripe immediately. Stripe says the credit usually appears in approximately 5–10 business days, depending on the bank or card issuer. Payment-method failures will be handled by support without limiting statutory rights.
Cancellation is not a refund
Canceling in the Stripe portal stops future renewals and normally keeps access until the end of the paid period. Cancellation alone does not return earlier payments. Use the separate refund flow to request money back within the eligible period.
License and devices after a refund
As soon as the refund request is accepted, the license tied to the payment is revoked, the related subscription is ended, and all app installations and sessions on linked Macs are disabled. A new purchase or subscription is required to use AutoCaption again.
Responsibility
Automatic recognition may contain errors. Customers should review captions and keep copies of original projects and files.
