Support
AutoCaption requires an Apple silicon Mac running macOS 26 or later.
Getting started
- Drag AutoCaption to Applications and open it.
- Allow the app in Privacy & Security › Accessibility.
- Choose “Set Up Connection…” and follow the steps to create the destination in Final Cut Pro.
- Share the timeline, generate captions, and send the editable titles back.
Titles were not inserted
Make sure the correct project is open and AutoCaption is allowed under Accessibility and Automation. After changing a permission, quit and reopen both apps.
The model appears as not installed
Connect the Mac to the internet, choose the language, and generate captions. After the first installation, the model can be reused offline.
Contact
In AutoCaption, open the app menu and choose “Send Feedback…”. The same option is under Settings › Help and next to error messages. You can review and disable technical diagnostics before sending.
